Abstract

Malgré le fait que les femmes ont accès à l'éducation depuis plusieurs décennies, y compris aux meilleures et aux plus prestigieuses écoles et universités, elles éprouvent toujours plus de difficultés que les hommes tout au long de leur carrière, comme si elles avaient à traverser un labyrinthe. De plus, elles atteignent rarement des postes de direction en raison de divers facteurs structurels et culturels qui agissent comme un plafond de verre. Afin de mieux comprendre ces phénomènes, de les contrer ou de les atténuer, cet article présente une synthèse des principaux obstacles auxquels se heurtent les femmes dans leur carrière et donne par la suite des conseils à l'intention des femmes cadres et des organisations.
