L'art et l'artisanat d'art en quête de réassurance: enjeux des labels et des ateliers

Abstract

Cet article tente d'analyser la relation spécifique qui se crée entre un acheteur d'art ou d'artisanat d'art et le créateur. Des études qualitatives (entretiens semi-directifs et focus groupes) ont été menées auprès d'experts de l'art et de consommateurs d'objets d'art afin d'appréhender quatre éléments importants dans cette relation : la perception de l'objet d'art, les critères de choix de l'objet d'art par l'acheteur, les craintes ressenties par l'acheteur et les éléments de réassurance acceptés. Deux éléments de réassurance ont été étudiés : les labels et les visites d'atelier d'art. Une analyse de ces deux éléments montre comment ils concourent à rassurer l'acheteur en répondant à ses besoins à la fois rationnels et émotionnels et en donnant du sens à son achat.
