La carrière, une aventure et son héros: trois études de cas sur la notion de cadre de référence de carrière

Abstract

La disparition des organisations traditionnelles confronte les individus à des contextes professionnels plus ambigus et moins fiables. La gestion des carrières devient un défi individuel qui met au défi la capacité à construire du sens dans ces contextes complexes. L'objectif principal de ce texte est de proposer et d'illustrer un modèle de cette construction de sens à partir des travaux de Weick. Cette construction de sens (" sensemaking ") est une interprétation qui utilise des cadres cognitifs de référence. Trois études de cas sont présentées pour décrire ces cadres et leur influence. Les trois sujets ont les mêmes origines sociales et scolaires (de la même famille culturelle, mêmes études, même diplôme). Ils ont obtenu leur diplôme et trouvé un premier emploi à la même époque. Néanmoins, 9 ans plus tard, leurs carrières sont très différentes. La comparaison de leurs trois cadres de référence contribue à expliquer leurs modes d'engagement dans leurs emplois et les différences de leurs parcours professionnels.
