Abstract

This state of the art distinguishes three major streams of research on websites evaluation, as information system, communicational channel and retailing channel. After exploring the limits and benefits, it provides an overview highlighting the conceptual links between these three currents. Using more frequently the media richness theory, the virtual affordances and flow concepts could improve these approaches and their implementation.
