Abstract

L'émergence de nouvelles technologies accompagne des mutations profondes des circuits logistiques, des systèmes d'information, des usages et des modes de consommation, des réseaux d'échanges. L'objet de cette contribution est d'analyser ces dynamiques qui pèsent fortement sur la distribution : depuis la prise en charge des produits culturels après leur production jusqu'à leur livraison au client final . Nous montrerons que les tensions qui traversent aujourd'hui les industries culturelles -la variété des modalités par lesquelles elles s'expriment et les stratégies auxquelles elles donnent lieu- peuvent se lire au travers de trois variables qui caractérisent la fonction de distribution : la configuration structurelle des réseaux de diffusion, le positionnement des distributeurs sur les chaînes de valeur, les modalités d'usage et de disponibilité des oeuvres.
