Abstract

La question posée par la revue Tracés du rapport entre les sciences sociales et les entreprises est un problème ancien, voire classique. J'ai essayé de répondre à la problématique de la journée d'étude "Sciences sociales et monde de l'entreprise" en trois points. Dans un premier temps, j'aborde, en les contextualisant, les éléments d'ambiguïté ou d'incompréhension entre le monde académique et celui de l'entreprise. Dans un deuxième temps, je montre qu'il y a des objets transversaux et communs aux sciences sociales et aux entreprises. Enfin, je rappelle, au sujet des rapports entre sciences sociales et entreprises, qu'il s'agit là d'un débat ancien et récurrent. Je coordonne en effet un programme national sur l'histoire de la "pensée managériale". Lorsque l'on évoque ce terme face à des universitaires orthodoxes, ceux-ci affichent ouvertement leur scepticisme. Pourtant, lorsque l'on prend la peine de s'y intéresser, il existe bien une pensée managériale, dont il convient de faire l'histoire.
