Abstract

Ce texte entend reprendre la question de la performativité ou performation de l'économie qui a connu d'importants développements ces dernières années. Nombre de ces travaux ont montré comment, par exemple, sur les marchés financiers, l'économie a pu performer le réel. L'optique choisie ici part d'un cas inverse, un cas dans lequel l'économie ne parvient pas à être performative. Il s'agit de la restucturation du contrôle aérien en europe, cas sur lequel nous travaillons depuis une dizaine d'années. Il s'agit d'éclairer quelques paradoxes liés à la performativité de l'économie, et, à partir du cas, de mettre en lumière des voies de recherche futures. Dans un premier temps nous reviendrons sur la notion de performativité de l'économie pour Michel Callon. Puis nous ferons un détour par Foucault. Ensuite nous présenterons le cas et, enfin, nous tenterons une interprétation et mettrons en place des voies de recherche ultérieures possibles.
