Abstract

Parce qu'elle est transverse aux catégories du droit et de l'organisation, la théorie de l'institution et de la fondation de Maurice Hauriou permet de penser le développement des entreprises d'économie sociale et solidaire comme un approfondissement de leurs particularismes statutaires et managériaux, en lien avec leurs valeurs fondatrices. Une illustration en est donnée par l'étude de l'histoire comme du fonctionnement actuel d'une banque mutualiste ayant connu une forte croissance au cours des 110 dernières années. Quelques conditions du maintien d'une identité coopérative et mutualiste dans la transformation organisationnelle et institutionnelle sont proposées en application de ces enseignements.
