Abstract

L''industrie du tourisme n''a pas échappé à l''extraordinaire envolée du commerce en ligne et certains acteurs du secteur comme voyage-sncf.com figurent parmi les sites marchands les plus fréquentés. Via ses 8 marques phare, EXPEDIA couvre l''ensemble du marché du e-tourisme, aussi bien horizontalement (clients particuliers ou entreprises) que verticalement (discount ou haut de gamme). Sa maîtrise de la technologie a offert à EXPEDIA sa place de leader mondial et son succès repose aussi sur l''originalité de son modèle économique, qui couple modèle d''agence classique et modèle marchand. Certains acteurs du marché ont choisit d''élargir leur portefeuille d''activités et d''évoluer vers une globalisation des prestations...
