With the development of the e-commerce, this paper studies the functioning of online auctions via internet within the framework of business to business (B2B), between private individuals (Consumer to Consumer) and between firms and private individuals (Business to Consumer). It highlights the features of these procedures in comparison with classical auctions and analyzes strategic behaviours which follow from them.
