Abstract

Anni Borzeix présente le texte de J. Revel "Micro-analyse et construction du social" (introduction du livre Jeux d'échelles, la micro-analyse à l'expérience, 1996), puis mobilise les idées principales de ce texte pour une relecture de son travail sur les incivilités. L'ouvrage est né d'un séminaire à l'Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales ayant réuni des anthropologues et des historiens autour du thème de la microhistoria, courant de recherche apparu en Italie dans les années 70, version historique de l'individualisme méthodologique mâtinée de constructivisme. Un extrait de la couverture pose d'emblée la question centrale discutée : « Le petit est-il meilleur à penser que le grand, le détail que l'ensemble, le local que le global ? Quels gains procure, avec quels effets et quelles apories, l'étude intensive d'objets très limités ? ».
