Abstract

Dans le sillage de Dominique Janicaud, de nombreux participants ont insiste sur la capacite d'accueil et de recueil de la raison (Francoise Dastur); d'autres ont mis a profit l'expression kantienne sauver l'honneur de la raison pour garder raison sans emprunter la voie regressive des justifications (Bernard Bourgeois, Remo Bodei, Jacques Derrida et Gilles-Gaston Granger). Des tables rondes ont pu souligner combien la metaphysique pouvait etre une respiration dont la pensee a besoin face aux scientismes et aux ideologies unilaterales (Pierre Aubenque, Marcel Conche, Jean-Francois Mattei et Pierre Magnard) ou bien ont mis l'accent sur l'impuissance de l'individu face aux processus globaux (Daniel Cerezuelle, Yves Michaud, Andre Tosel, Rene Seve). Tables rondes, grandes conferences, breves communications (presentees sur CD-Rom): autant de styles pour interroger la thematique de ce congres et reveler sous ses diverses formes la puissance du rationnel et le necessaire partage qui lui est consubstantiel. A Nice, la pensee de Dominique Janicaud a accompagne tout au long de ce congres et continue d'inspirer ce lieu ou elle s'est beaucoup exercee.
