Abstract

Comment peut-on définir et appréhender les capacités (capabilities) d'une firme ? De ce qu'une firme fait, on peut en déduire – et déjà avec des réserves sur ses performances réelles qui ne seront pleinement connues que plus tard – qu'elle est capable de le faire. Mais l'intérêt de la notion de capacité réside évidemment dans l'analyse dynamique : de ce qu'elle fait, la firme a intérêt à inférer ce qu'elle pourrait faire d'autre, de nouveau et de plus créateur de valeur. Et c'est ce qu'elle fait en permanence Quelles sont donc les dimensions de la notion de capacité ?
