Abstract

L'industrie du livre se caractérise par la concentration des moyens : dans I'édition comme dans la distribution. Mais à côté des mastodontes que sont Hachette ou les Presses de la Cité, des dizaines de petits éditeurs assurent la publication et la diffusion de nombreux livres, à des tirages parfois extrêmement faibles, dans des genres extrêmement divers. Comment ces petites maisons d'édition surviven t-elles ! Comment, le succès venant, grandissent-elles et réussissent-elles à assurer leur pérennité!
