Abstract

Les rapports du GIEC (Groupe intergouvernemental d'experts sur l'évolution du climat) et la conférence de la COP 21 à Paris en décembre 2015 insistent sur l'impérieuse nécessité de s'engager en faveur du développement durable. Sans une réaction rapide et d'ampleur, c'est le monde tel que nous le connaissons depuis des décennies qui court à sa perte… L'ampleur du phénomène ne se limitant pas au Québec d'où sont issus les contributeurs à cet ouvrage collectif, il est urgent de passer à l'action sur le terrain. Par ailleurs, les auteurs rappellent dès l'introduction la place incontournable des PME dans les économies (98 % des entreprises, 70 % des emplois et 40 % du PIB au Canada1). D'où l'intérêt de cet ouvrage pour tous ceux qui sont préoccupés par l'avenir de notre planète et par le rôle joué par les PME dans ce débat !
