Abstract

L'explosion des marchés urbains, la régionalisation des échanges et l'extension des marchés internationaux alimentaires offrent des opportunités économiques pour les agricultures familiales dans les pays du sud. La réalisation de ces dernières est limitée par l'atomisation spatiale et microéconomique de l'offre, les coûts de transaction élevés dans des environnements institutionnels hétérogènes. Pourtant, les initiatives dans l'organisation collective pour la commercialisation des produits se multiplient dans différents pays. Comment analyser leurs conditions d'émergence et de viabilité ? sont elles susceptibles d'évoluer vers des organisations coopératives ? Pour répondre à ce questionnement nous proposons de qualifier les déterminants institutionnels des organisations collectives dans la commercialisation des produits à partir d'exemples d'actions collectives au Cameroun. Les résultats soulignent en quoi les conditions institutionnelles d'émergence de ces organisations jouent un rôle structurant de leurs succès ou échecs.
