Abstract

Le jeu vidéo est une industrie où création artistique et innovation technologique se conjuguent pour produire de nouveaux jeux. Se côtoient de grands éditeurs et une multitude de petits studios (moins de 100 personnes). Ce secteur est donc intéressant pour comprendre comment l'innovation est gérée dans les petites entreprises et comment les collaborations s'organisent dans un réseau d'entreprises via des mécanismes de collaboration et de compétition. Comment les firmes combinent-elles la production de nouvelles versions de jeux existants et la conception de nouveaux jeux ? Voit-on comme dans les biotechnologies une multitude de petites firmes engagées dans l'innovation radicale tandis que les grandes entreprises, plus proches du marché, commercialisent les innovations et gèrent le produit tout au long de son cycle de vie ?
