État social et démocratie : la lutte des classes n'explique pas tout. Penser l'anticapitalisme avec mais aussi au-delà de Marx

Abstract

L'État social est traditionnellement lu comme une réponse à la " question sociale " entendue comme " question autour du travail salarié ". On invite à s'écarter de cette réduction. Si l'État social a à voir avec la " question sociale ", il importe de ne pas l'y réduire. Il met en jeu le fonctionnement d'ensemble de la société et de son économie, de sorte que nous ne vivons pas à proprement parler dans des économies de marché, mais dans des économies mixtes. Alors que la portée de l'État social est considérable, on ne dispose toujours pas de sa théorie. Après avoir cherché à expliquer ce paradoxe, on indique qu'il importe de penser ses articulations avec l'intérêt général et la démocratie.
