Abstract

L'article porte sur l'analyse du fonctionnement des ménages, des prises de décisions, des comportements de consommation et d'offre de travail au sein de la famille. Il retient un cadre d'analyse propre aux modèles microéconomiques (hypothèse de rationalité des agents, arbitrages travail/loisirs) et vise à mieux comprendre la « règle du partage » qui détermine le pouvoir de négociation de chaque conjoint. A la fois empirique et théorique, il sollicite les données du British Houseold Panel Survey et de la dernière enquête « Emploi du temps » de l'INSEE. La référence à de nombreux travaux de recherche en cours et à différents modèles dits « collectifs », tente d'apporter l'éclairage des modèles économiques à la question de l'égalité.
