Abstract

Cette étude analyse le marché de la musique des jeux vidéo français, à partir d'un panel de 707 jeux produits par au moins une entreprise française entre 2023 et 2025. Les données de diffusion en continu ou données de streaming (Spotify, YouTube) montrent une croissance significative des écoutes, passant de 38 à 270. Cependant, une forte inégalité est constatée : seuls 26 % des jeux sont distribués sur les plateformes musicales. Ceci souligne un important manque à gagner, en particulier pour les jeux indépendants. De plus, on observe une forme d'économie de « superstars » où quelques titres et entreprises captent l'essentiel des revenus. L'analyse de trois cas (Assassin's Creed Shadows, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Chants of Sennaar) illustre des stratégies différenciées des studios selon leur segment et leur taille : « AAA », « AA » ou indépendant. Enfin, le marché du live confirme cette segmentation, des grands producteurs dans de grandes salles parisiennes, aux orchestres indépendants sur des scènes régionales.
