Abstract

Lors de la COP21 à Paris en décembre 2015, près de 200 pays du monde entier ont consenti à l'objectif de limiter l'augmentation des températures en deçà de + 2 °C par rapport aux temps préindustriels en poursuivant leurs efforts pour atteindre la cible de + 1,5 °C. Le rapport Global Warming of 1,5 °C (GIEC [2018]) a mis en lumière l'ampleur des transformations nécessaires pour atteindre cet objectif. Parvenir conjointement à enrayer les pertes de biodiversité (IPBES [2019]) et à maintenir les activités humaines à l'intérieur de limites de viabilité planétaires (Steffen et al. [2015]) impliquent des transformations profondes de nos modes de consommation et de production. Le résultat mitigé de la COP26 à Glasgow témoigne à nouveau des difficultés à transformer les annonces en réalités tangibles, difficultés auxquelles se heurte tout autant le processus biodiversité de la COP15 à Kunming au printemps 2022.
