Guerra comercial chino-estadounidense: ¿el verdadero “ladrón” finalmente desenmascarado?

Abstract

Después de una breve presentación de la posición de Carlos Marx sobre el comercio internacional, discutimos la evolución de la balanza comercial chino-estadounidense, según la cual Estados Unidos, aparentemente, está perdiendo. Después, proponemos dos métodos de medida del intercambio desigual entre Estados Unidos y China, uno considerando el contenido laboral directamente incorporado en el intercambio, y el otro centrado en el valor internacional y utilizando tablas de entrada-salida, que muestran que Estados Unidos, en realidad, gana. Un análisis sectorial indica una erosión de la ventaja estadounidense, o sea, que Estados Unidos gana al intercambio, pero cada vez menos. Finalmente, examinamos el desafío a la hegemonía global para saber qué tiene Estados Unidos para ofrecer al mundo.
