L'économie comportementale : entre faiblesses méthodologiques et idéologie

Abstract

La nouvelle économie comportementale a connu de grands succès depuis plus d'une décennie : de belles carrières, des récompenses prestigieuses, des citations nombreuses, beaucoup d'argent pour financer ses « expériences », des reconnaissances gouvernementales, une large couverture médiatique etc. La lecture du dernier ouvrage de Jean-Michel Servet (L'économie comportementale en question, éditions Charles Léopold Mayer, 2018) permet de découvrir ce courant à travers ses grands principes et ses auteurs majeurs. Ce livre offre également une analyse plus détaillée de quelques études portant sur la finance comportementale dans des pays en développement (notamment en Inde) dont l'auteur est un spécialiste, ce qui lui permet de procéder à une lecture critique argumentée sur le plan méthodologique. Servet interroge également les fondements idéologiques d'un courant qui, au nom de la Science (cela va de soi), déploie beaucoup d'énergie argumentative pour revendiquer pragmatisme et neutralité.
