L'entrepreneuriat en réseau de franchise : quelles singularités managériales et de coordination ?

Abstract

Les réseaux de franchise représentent une forme d'entrepreneuriat collectif et cela interroge leurs pratiques de coordination. Ces organisations s'apparentent à des PME assez atypiques car aucun de ces membres n'est engagé dans des liens de salariat. Leurs singularités comme mode de coordination, alternatif au marché et à la hiérarchie, illustrent de nouvelles problématiques induites par la dynamique d'un collectif d'entrepreneurs pour lequel le périmètre économique ne se superpose pas à l'identique au périmètre juridique. En effet, une partie rarement identifiée par la littérature économique est apparue : les managers de réseau. Ces salariés coordonnent et contrôlent les franchisés or ceux-ci demeurent pourtant des entrepreneurs juridiquement indépendants.
