Abstract

This research note documents a reproducible reference framework for comparing mortgage borrowing capacity in South Korea under the 2026 Stress Debt Service Ratio regime. It explains how annual income, standardized debt-service assumptions, and existing credit-loan obligations interact when constructing mortgage-limit scenarios. The note is intended as a transparent benchmark for research, education, and housing-finance analysis rather than as an individualized bank underwriting result.
