Abstract

" Objective - The study of competitiveness has been widely addressed in the literature due to its importance as a key factor for organizational success. Competitiveness is closely linked to productivity and the organization's ability to project itself in the market. Methodology/Technique - A central element in this analysis is innovation, which has evolved towards approaches like sustainable competitiveness, integrating social, environmental, and economic dimensions. This paper examines the importance of innovation by defining it, measuring it, and applying it, highlighting its role as a driver of competitiveness at both national and organizational levels. Findings - Moreover, innovation is considered a source of competitive advantage that facilitates organizational sustainability. Through an extensive literature review, the advancements in the concept of innovation and its relationship with competitiveness are analyzed, contrasting theoretical models with case studies. These studies help establish a first step towards building a model of sustainable competitiveness. Novelty - This analysis is crucial for promoting the implementation of innovation processes that address current market needs, integrate environmental, economic, and social dimensions, and contribute to a more sustainable approach to organizational competitiveness.
