Abstract

Le but de cet article est d'évaluer l'impact des Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication (TIC) sur les performances des étudiants à leurs examens. L'article repose sur une enquête administrée auprès 1323 étudiants inscrits dans trois universités françaises. Quatre résultats principaux sont obtenus. Premièrement, les résultats montrent l'absence d'effets induits par les investissements en TIC sur les résultats des étudiants. Deuxièmement, les formations aux TIC proposées par les universités sont quasiment sans impact sur ces mêmes résultats. Troisièmement, nous montrons une amélioration des performances des étudiants lorsqu'ils recourent à des usages innovants et collaboratifs des TIC. Enfin, nous explicitons pourquoi une augmentation des performances académiques des étudiants est observée lorsqu'ils acquièrent des compétences numériques.
