Diversas formas de infraestructuras en el Perú y Colombia: el papel de las empresas mineras en el control y manejo del agua en contextos de escasez

Abstract

En territorios con minería a gran escala, la construcción de infraestructuras hídricas ha sido considerada, por lo general, como la respuesta más apropiada a los problemas de escasez de agua. Sin embargo, la infraestructura en sí misma no siempre supone soluciones. Cuando estas construcciones son principalmente funcionales a la expansión minera y se imponen a las lógica socioambientales de la localidad, terminan agravando los problemas de estrés hídrico y desigualdad en el acceso al agua. Para dar cuenta de los debates e implicaciones en torno a las infraestructuras en contextos mineros, este documento analiza procesos similares relacionados con infraestructura que se presentan en contextos de gran minería en el Perú y Colombia.
