Toponymes et gentiles: vers un traitement automatique relationnel

Abstract

En traitement automatique de la langue naturelle, l'analyse lexicale d'un texte est faite a partir de dictionnaires electroniques. Ceux-ci comportent tres peu de Noms Propres. Un travail de collecte des toponymes (noms de lieux) et gentiles (noms d'habitants) pour la France a ete mene. 55508 noms propres, auxquels il faut ajouter les liens entre ces noms, ont ete collectis dans une base de donnees dont le schema traduit l'organisation hierarchique francaise. Parallelement, des toponymes associes aux subdivisions administratives des 190 autres pays independants ont ete collectes et ont conduit a une transformation du schema de la base de donnees. Les textes etudies le sont a partir d'un transducteur a nombre fini d'etats construit a partir de la base. Il permet d'interpreter dhs la lecture du texte les relations entre toponymes ou entre toponymes et gentiles.
