Organisation hierarchique optimale dans une relation principal/agents

Abstract

Cet article traite des relaions entre un principal, quie veut se procurer un bien, et les deux agents impliques dans le processus de production de ce bien. Les couts des agents constituent une information privee. Le principal confie la production du bien fini a l'un des agents, qui en sout-traite une partie a l'autre et je suppose que ces deux agents ont la possibilite de fusionner. Dans le cas de distributions des coutsuniformes, je montre que le principal prefere confier la responsabilite du bien a l'agent dont le cout a la plus grande variance. Cependant, chacun des agents prefere la position de premier sous-traitant. De plus, bien que le principal prefere traiter avec une entreprise verticalement integree, je montre que, dans certains cas, les deux agents preferent rester independants.
