What Is Affecting the CPS Data on Shifts in Immigrant and Native-Born Populations?

Abstract

This analysis suggests that CPS estimates of a sharp drop in the U.S. immigrant population and a surge in the native-born population in 2025 are overstated because of survey limitations.
