Amortização de dívidas e juros simples: o caso de prestações em progressão aritmética

Abstract

Entendendo-se como anatocismo, no contexto de financiamentos, a cobrança de juros sobre juros, buscou-se em trabalho anterior, de Faro (2013-a), evidenciar que tal fenômeno não se apresenta em qualquer sistema de amortização de dívidas em que não haja a ocorrência do que se denomina de amortização negativa. Isso, representando um aparente paradoxo, muito embora esteja subjacente o chamado regime de juros compostos (no sentido de haver equivalência financeira entre o valor financiado e a sequência de prestações periódicas).
