El apagón eléctrico: sobre causas y consecuencias

Abstract

El objeto de esta Nota es tratar de contribuir a un mejor entendimiento del contexto en el que se ha producido el corte de suministro eléctrico en la península ibérica el lunes 28 de abril y aportar algunas ideas preliminares sobre sus posibles causas. Un análisis de este tipo debe partir de una enorme prudencia a la hora de tratar de identificar la causa (o causas) desencadenantes, aunque sea posible delinear con cautela algunas hipótesis más plausibles que otras. Con esa misma prudencia, también se pueden plantear algunas ideas preliminares sobre qué consecuencias regulatorias puede tener este grave incidente, inédito en la historia del sistema eléctrico peninsular, aunque no en los sistemas no peninsulares.
