El desempeño de la productividad en España y sus causas

Abstract

En este Observatorio se constata que, si se tiene en cuenta el notable crecimiento experimentado por la población en edad de trabajar, se observa que el comportamiento del PIB per cápita y del PIB por persona en edad de trabajar ha sido mucho más modesto que el del PIB agregado. En particular, el crecimiento del PIB per cápita ha sido aproximadamente la mitad que la del PIB agregado desde finales de 2019, y la evolución del PIB por población en edad de trabajar (PET) ha tardado cinco años en recuperar el nivel que correspondería a su senda de largo plazo tras la crisis de la COVID. Esto evidencia que España ha sido una de las economías europeas a las que más tiempo le ha costado la recuperación.
