La Desigualdad en Espana: Fuentes, Tendencias y Comparaciones Internacionales

Abstract

El presente trabajo comienza con una revisión de las principales fuentes estadísticas utilizadas en la literatura sobre la distribución de la renta en nuestro país y de las ventajas e inconvenientes de cada una. Seguidamente se analiza la evolución de la desigualdad en Espana, comparándola con la existente en otros países de nuestro entorno. Los resultados indican que el nivel de desigualdad de nuestro país ha sido relativamente alto desde hace décadas y ha aumentado de forma muy preocupante con la reciente crisis, lo que el autor atribuye a un debilitamiento de nuestro sistema redistributivo y de protección social.
