La Desigualdad en Espana: Fuentes, Tendencias y Comparaciones Internacionales

Abstract

El presente trabajo comienza con una revisiÛn de las principales fuentes estadÌsticas utilizadas en la literatura sobre la distribuciÛn de la renta en nuestro paÌs y de las ventajas e inconvenientes de cada una. Seguidamente se analiza la evoluciÛn de la desigualdad en Espana, compar·ndola con la existente en otros paÌses de nuestro entorno. Los resultados indican que el nivel de desigualdad de nuestro paÌs ha sido relativamente alto desde hace dÈcadas y ha aumentado de forma muy preocupante con la reciente crisis, lo que el autor atribuye a un debilitamiento de nuestro sistema redistributivo y de protecciÛn social.
