Convergencia en tasas de inflación en la Unión Europea

Abstract

En este trabajo examinamos la convergencia en tasas de inflación de los países de la Unión Europea con respecto a Alemania. Para ello, aplicamos contrastes de cointegración que determinan endógenamente a ruptura estructural a datos anuales correspondientes al período 1961-1997. Los resultados de estos contrastes ofrecen evidencia a favor de dicha convergencia para la mayoría de los países de la muestra, una vez considerados los cambios estructurales registrados durante el período muestral.
