Una Propuesta para el Seguimiento Puntual de la Coyuntura de la Economía de Madrid

El objetivo de este artículo es esbozar cómo se puede crear un índice sintético del ciclo económico aplicado a la Comunidad de Madrid y una muestra preliminar de los resultados que un ejercicio de este estilo produce. Este indicador de actividad económica se enmarca dentro de la metodología denominada nowcasting y presenta ciertas ventajas técnicas en cuanto a la especificación del modelo y las variables incorporadas. El análisis del índice muestra con claridad los ciclos de expansión y recesión de la economía madrileña.
