Implicaciones de la equiparación de la financiación de Cataluña con los resultados de sistema foral: un análisis preliminar y algunas reflexiones

Abstract

Esta nota contiene un análisis preliminar de lo que supondría a largo plazo la equiparación al alza de la financiación catalana con la vasca. Partiendo de los datos de 2005 (el último año para el que la información necesaria está disponible), se calcula la financiación por habitante del País Vasco y el incremento de la financiación catalana necesario para igualar a ambas comunidades en términos per cápita. Seguidamente, se cuantifican los efectos de la propuesta sobre el déficit fiscal de Cataluña y sobre la financiación del resto de las comunidades autónomas de régimen común. El trabajo concluye con algunas reflexiones sobre las implicaciones políticas de la propuesta.
