Abstract

This literature review provides short summaries of recent scientific articles discussing the challenges of public policies for startups, in line with the newly established Task Force for Startups and Scaleups. This publication is developed by the Team on ‘Economics of Research and Innovation’ of the Chief Economist Unit in the European Commission’s Directorate General for Research and Innovation. For this edition, the contributors are Nicola Francesco Dotti (review coordinator), Haya Al-Ajlani, Florence Benoit, Bianca Cavicchi, Valentina Di Girolamo, Robert Kuenzel, and Julien Ravet.
