GE Potato-Is It An Answer To India's Malnutrition Problems?

Abstract

It is argued that GM Potato with protein enrichment and that it can and should be introduced in India. It is a first-of-its-kind GE crop in many ways. The paper talks about how this potato was introduced to reduce the malnutrition problems in India. It also talks about how the potato should not be introduced in India.
