Abstract

The Standing Committee on Human Resource Development is currently examining the subject 'Role of Private Sector in Higher Education'. In this context, an analysis of the role of the private sector in providing higher education in India is provided. This note maps out the regulatory framework and highlights key issues with regard to private higher education.
