Abstract

This paper provides an assessment of the interventions in reforming the drinking water and sanitation sector in Gujarat as through the Water and Sanitation Management Organisation (WASMO) from a supply-driven to a demand-driven intervention. The aspect of community participation has been looked into somewhat closely as, inter alia, this has implications for equity, sustainability and democratisation of the scheme.
