  • Narendra Gupta

Abstract

Based on the experience of Chittorgarh Generic Medicine Project, a computation has been attempted to ascertain what amount of financial allocation is required if all sick persons of India would have full access to rational treatment for their different ailments. It is essentially based on the cost of treatment through standard treatment procedure by using quality generic medicines. One illustrative list of procurement and sale costs of different medicines required for most of the diseases can be seen at http://chittorgarh.nic.in/Generic_new/generic.htm.
