A CGE Analysis on the Economic and Environmental Effects of Green Growth Policy in Korean

Abstract

Korea government has recently promoted the green growth policies to reduce the energy consumption and cope with global warming by decreasing the greenhouse gas emissions. However, there have been only few quantitative researches on the forecast in case of meeting the government’s reduction targets by sector. In this paper, we aims to evaluate the green growth policy and forecast the result. Computable General Equilibrium 1. Analysng the impacts of the government policies such as restriction on the carbon dioxide, carbon tax and emission trading on the national economy and greenhouse gas emission. 2. forecasting the technical changes over time and composition among conventional electricity generation and backstop technologies
