La persistente situación de pobreza en México

Abstract

La situación de pobreza en México no es solamente preocupante en términos del alto porcentaje de pobres e indigentes que existen todavía en el país, sino también en términos de su persistencia a lo largo del tiempo. Al contrario de otros países de América Latina, en México poco se ha podido lograr para disminuir la pobreza durante lo que va del nuevo siglo. Este estudio examina algunos posibles factores, tanto macroeconómicos como microeconómicos, que están atrás de esa aparente anomalía.
