Brechas estructurales en la economía de Haití: un análisis a partir de las matrices de insumo-producto

Abstract

A partir de la primera matriz de insumo-producto para Haití 2011-2012 se hace aquí un análisis detallado de la estructura productiva del país mediante el uso de diversas metodologías para identificar las brechas verticales. Con la matriz inversa de Leontief se calculan los encadenamientos hacia atrás directos y totales, que se complementan con los indicadores de poder de dispersión y sensibilidad de dispersión de Rasmussen. Por otra parte, con base en el modelo de Ghosh se calculan los encadenamientos hacia adelante. Finalmente, a partir de la construcción de una matriz regional de Haití, Centroamérica, México y la República Dominicana se hace un análisis estructural del comercio para observar las brechas horizontales y la generación de valor agregado de las exportaciones e importaciones.
