Estudios de competitividad y casos seleccionados de comercio para los países de la subregión norte de América Latina utilizando el MAGIC

Abstract

En este documento se presentan cuatro análisis de competitividad exportadora en los mercados de Centroamérica, los Estados Unidos, México y la Unión Europea y cinco estudios de caso utilizando el Módulo para Analizar el Crecimiento del Comercio Internacional (MAGIC, por sus siglas en inglés). El estudio aborda temas de comercio internacional entre el período 2017-2019, en el que la pandemia por COVID-19 dominó el escenario internacional, junto con otros eventos como el conflicto comercial entre China y los Estados Unidos y la reconfiguración de esquemas de integración económica, especialmente de la Unión Europea. Los efectos de esos eventos se estudian especialmente en los países de la subregión norte de América Latina: Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haití, Honduras, México, Nicaragua, Panamá y la República Dominicana.
