La cadena regional de valor de la industria de lácteos en Centroamérica

Abstract

Los estudios de cadenas de valor han ganado importancia en los últimos años en Centroamérica, pero la mayoría de los trabajos se han enfocado en cadenas de valor nacionales. En este estudio se abordan las cadenas regionales de valor, las cuales ofrecen oportunidades para el escalamiento en la creación de valor a nivel regional. Con el fin de tomar en cuenta los metaobjetivos de aumentar el comercio intrarregional y el extrarregional, en este estudio se desarrolló una metodología de selección de cadenas cuantitativamente robusta. Con dicha metodología se seleccionó la cadena de lácteos y sus derivados para este estudio piloto.
