Política macroeconómica y pobreza: estudio del impacto de instrumentos seleccionados de política macroeconómica en el caso de Guatemala

Abstract

Presenta una estimación del perfil actual de la pobreza en Guatemala y una evaluación del deterioro de las condiciones de vida de los pobres en el decenio de los 80; señala algunos canales de transmisión del efecto de las variaciones en el tipo de cambio y en el gasto público agregado sobre la pobreza, y estima los órdenes de magnitud de dichos efectos.
