El crecimiento económico en Cuba: un análisis desde la productividad total de los factores

Abstract

Este libro es el primero que se edita como resultado del Premio Internacional de Investigación en Desarrollo Económico "Juan F. Noyola", convocado conjuntamente de manera bienal por el Instituto de Investigaciones Económicas (IIEc) de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) y por la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL).Esta última ha contribuido, desde su creación en febrero de 1948, al progreso de América Latina con pensamiento independiente impulsando la reflexión e intercambio de ideas sobre el desarrollo económico que han coadyuvado a identificar sus determinantes y las formas de superar sus obstáculos. Por su parte, el Instituto de Investigaciones Económicas cuenta con la tradición de impulsar la investigación económica desde una perspectiva crítica del desarrollo económico, y ha contribuido con propuestas para la solución de los problemas nacionales. Así, con el compromiso común de ambas instituciones para producir nuevo conocimiento, cultura y desarrollo eco-nómico para los pueblos de América Latina, en marzo de 2010, Alicia Bárcena, Secretaria Ejecutiva de la CEPAL, y Jorge Basave, entonces director del IIEc, firmaron el convenio que da vida al Premio y lanzaron la primera convocatoria.
